Emergency Repair to BUS Duct A
Start Date: May 21, 2014 || Completion Date: October 21, 2014
Asturian Group was contacted and requested to perform an emergency response repair to the primary electrical BUS Duct at a major hospital. Due to the critical care needs of the facility, Asturian Group mobilized immediately with a key high voltage Subcontractor. The primary problem was the excessive load applied to the duct causing a thermal trip of the circuit breakers. Asturian Group, in collaboration with the Owner and our Key Subcontractor performed testing and assessment to determine the best solution. Upon determination, Asturian Group and our Electrical Subcontractor performed the BUS Duct replacement during non‐working and overtime hours to limit potential disruption to the facility. Temporary service or switching of electrical feeds was performed as necessary to perform the high voltage replacement. All work was accomplished without disruption to the multi‐story hospital and permanent electrial service restored.
