Start Date: September 8, 2014  ||  Completion Date: March 16, 2016

Asturian was awarded a contract to provide the renovation of a USCG facility in Delaware.  Overall scope of work was the demolition and renovation of the facility galley (commerical kitchen) and upgrade of the building electrical system in its entirety.  Work was accomplished in an active, operational, and occupied military facility during the course of work.  Project encompassed two (2) primary elements of work:  Renovation of the existing facility galley and upgrade of the facility electrical distribution system.  All work was accomplished during normal working hours and specialized outages on weekends as necessary for the service change.  Extra coordination and effort was required to facillitate the transformer replacement with the local private utility provider.  A temporary galley was established during the project to accomodate the service personnel.  In addition, temporary protections were installed to minimize disruption to the facility while under construction.  The galley renovation included the furnishing and installation of required kitchen equipment, applicable fire protection systems, gas lines, factory start-up, and training.
